TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE
Green Meadow Country Club was founded in 1925 when the land for the Club was purchased by Alcoa Inc. The course was originally opened as a nine-hole course on the land where the front nine is currently located. The back nine was built in the 1950’s. The front nine was renovated in the early 1990’s including rebuilding of the front nine greens.
Green Meadow Country Club is the only private Country Club in Blount County and has a rich and storied history in East Tennessee. GMCC offers all of the amenities of a traditional Country Club, including Golf, Tennis, Swimming and full service Lounge and Dining Room.
Championship Golf
Green Meadow Country Club offers a full calendar of golf events from our Men’s, Ladies’ and Senior Golf Associations. Events include a weekly tournament schedule with Wednesday evening Dogfights, MGA events on weekends, the Senior Men’s Association on Fridays, Ladies eighteen hole group on Tuesdays and the Ladies nine hole group on Thursdays. We also conduct many club events such as our annual Club Championship, Member- Member and our annual Member-Guest Weekend. For our juniors we offer a summer camp that includes an array of fun activities on the golf course, tennis courts and in the pool for fun games and swim safety tips.
Swimming
Our Junior Olympic Swimming pool is open from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. We cater swim parties, offer water aerobics for the adults within every fitness level and our pool concessions offer a variety of snack items. GMCC is home to one of the best swim teams in the area. Swim lessons are offered through the swim team or private lessons are available with our highly qualified life guards.
Green Meadow C. C. is the training facility for Prime Aquatics which offers offers high-quality, professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities year round. USA Swimming affiliate
Premiere Dining
Our food service is open for Dinner on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings throughout the year. We are open for lunch six days a week (Closed on Monday). We offer a wide variety of food for all tastes. We are also available to cater your parties and events in our Ballroom or Dining Room. Our Lounge is open seven days a week.
