· Dogfights
– Remember, every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. – Sign up in Pro Shop by 4:00
p.m.
· July 4th
– We will have a wide array of golf activities on Friday, July 4th.
§ Couples Tournament –
$10.00 entry fee per couple (net low ball of team)
§ Flag
Tournament – $10.00 entry fee per person
§ Closest-to-Pin
– $5.00 - All Par 3’s
§ Longest
Hole Competition – $20.00 entry fee per person.
We will have two divisions if
enough participants.
· July 10th
– Course will be closed for the Blount County Championship
· August 23rd
& 24th – Meadowlark -
Member/Guest Tournament – This year’s theme is “Caddyshack™” –
Chairmen, Richard Ballard and Dewayne Holloway are working hard to make this
a great weekend of golf and fun for everyone. We have expanded the field
this year to allow more members the opportunity to participate. We currently
have close to 40 teams already signed up. The entry fee is $450.00 - $200.00
deposit when you register and the balance on your August club bill. The
format will be similar to the Member/Member Tournament
· August 30th
& 31st – Green Meadow Club
Championship – Entry Fee $50.00 per person. This will be the Men’s and
Ladies’ Championships and is open to all amateur golfers age 16 and over.
The format is 36 Holes Stroke Play, with the top 8 men players and the top 4
ladies advancing to play on Monday, September 1st. Entry Deadline
is August 27th at 7:00 p.m. Tee times will be assigned by the Pro
Shop. There will be a Championship and Flighted Divisions for the Men. The
ladies will be flighted with gross and net winners. Flight divisions will
have both a gross and net champion.

The
Tennessee
Golf Association (TGA) will conduct
a Rules Seminar at Green Meadow Country Club on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, for
both men and women. The cost is $25.00 which includes lunch and a USGA
Rules of Golf Book.
The
schedule is as follows:
9:00 a.m.
Seminar begins with discussion of
2008 new rules changes
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Lunch
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
On course learning session

Unfortunately,
this is at the same time as the Ladies first KAWGA event at Cherokee CC. The
TGA Staff is willing to stay and have another session beginning at
3:00 p.m.
