July 2005 at the Duplicate Bridge Table

July was hot and sultry, and we found the answer to that kind of weather was to play bridge in the very cool ballroom at Green Meadow Country Club.

The lunch is a beautiful buffet of salads, soup, sandwiches, and dessert. We always eat too much!

The following people not only enjoyed the buffet, but won at the bridge tables:

JULY 6 - A TIE between Betsy Taub & Mary Ann Brown and Jean Huffstetler & Janet Sten
JULY 13 - Kathryn Twyford & Sue Swann
JULY 20 - Frances Everette & Sue Swann
JULY 27 - Betty Johnston & Kathryn Twyford

Of course, no golf club can subsist on the fairways alone. "The proof," as people tend to say, "is in the pudding." And while you may not be able to find any pudding on the grounds, Green Meadow has a variety of other activities for Members.

The lounge, off limits to children, is for those times when a little peace and quiet will do quite nicely.

Even inside the clubhouse or the main building, there's plenty to see and do. Members will find a number of other rooms and activities to enjoy, so even the most miserable rainsoaked days can be tolerated. How about a few hands in the lounge? Or you could even just sit back and watch some television. Whatever your pleasure, it's probably covered somewhere on Green Meadow's grounds.
